College Saturday Moneyline Parlay

Last week was a close call on the moneyline three team parlay. This week I’ll stay in the smaller conferences of the Mountain West and the MAC for a possible moneyline parlay.

Three teamer: Colorado St, New Mexico, and Miami of Ohio

All three of these teams are a touchdown underdog or more, which makes for a nice payout if it hits. You have to look for quality dogs and I believe all three are. Colorado State is going up against a Wyoming team that’s a darling for bettors because they score a lot. The problem with Wyoming is their defense hasn’t done much and almost blew a 20 point lead over New Mexico a week ago. Colorado State on the other hand has played quality opponents and wants to defeat the Cowboys for the first time in four years.

The MAC is a great conference for one to find an underdog to win outright. Ohio beat Marshall as a ten point dog a month ago, and Central Michigan beat Ohio as a twenty point dog a week ago. Akron has been a MAC team knocking on the door of a major upset against Bowling Green, Michigan, and Northern Illinois but just can’t get it done. Play calling has been poor and I think the team is losing focus with their overall record. Miami of Ohio can catch a vulnerable team on their home field as a touchdown underdog.

Last the big underdog included in this moneyline parlay is New Mexico. You have to search for a team reeling and Utah State is one. They’ll start a different quarterback for the third straight week in Darell Garretson. Keaton suffered a season ending injury and then Craig Harrison was woeful in his start a week ago against Boise State. So stepping in will be true freshman quarterback Darell Garretson. Most freshman aren’t ready for this type of transition when two weeks ago they were a third string quarterback. New Mexico has been in three games this year against potent offenses in Pittsburgh, UNLV, and last week with Wyoming. At home facing an inexperienced quarterback and defense that’s been stormed over consecutive weeks by Boise State and BYU at home, I love the opportunity for an outright upset here.
