Vegas Focus: Zags ATS Magic Extends to Vegas

The spectacle of March Madness is one of the yearly treats to take in as a Vegas resident. Both on and off the strip sportsbooks customer count spikes to yearly highs. Taking in the excitement of wagers is just a small part of what you will see but the best results if you can cash.

Before the dance begins conference tournaments will need to be settled. Venturing to Vegas is done at the Thomas and Mack, MGM Garden, Orleans Arena, and T-Mobile Arena for the Pac-12, Mountain West, WCC, and WAC conferences.

Gonzaga has been a yearly staple once tournament time arrives. Their success this season at 19-10 ATS in 2019 has been superb. Only Marquette boasts a better mark in terms of top 150 teams in college basketball.

The WCC conference itself has been questionable schedule-wise versus the rest of college basketball. Prior regular seasons for the Zags ended as early as February 24th. That has changed as now the WCC regular season ends March 2nd for Gonzaga. Yet it’s still nearly a full week of rest compared to the majority of college basketball.

Based on their March Madness runs can bettors trust the Zags this go around?

Yes but a bettor has to recognize that March Madness begins at the Orleans Arena for Gonzaga. Since 2010 Gonzaga has just one loss in WCC tourney action. In fact they’ve gone 7-2 ATS over the last three seasons.

Dominant play for the Zags in WCC play is a virtue they have due to the setup of the WCC’s schedule. They treat these games as true tune-ups for March Madness. In the power five that’s not the case with conference tournaments so close to Selection Sunday.

If you are planning to bet the Zags for March Madness roll the dice early for their set of WCC conference tournament games. There’s a solid chance you can carry over WCC gains for a mini-stretch of five to six games.
